Importing Into Cloud & Managed Databases
Cloud SQL, RDS, and DigitalOcean managed databases each have their own import quirks — SSL, buckets, and no SUPER privilege.

- • Managed databases rarely grant SUPER — strip DEFINER clauses first
- • Some platforms import from a bucket, not your local disk
- • SSL is often mandatory; pass the CA certificate
- • Run the import close to the database to avoid timeouts
